What are Learning Hours?

The Learning Hours metric on Analytics reflects all meaningful time spent learning - not just video views.

Learning isn’t just about watching content. It’s about interacting, applying, and exploring. That's why, as of May 2025, a new metric has been added to the platform called Learning Hours, designed to provide a more complete view of learning engagement.

What does it include?

Learning Hours is an expansion of our original Viewing Hours metric, designed to give a fuller, more accurate view of learning engagement by measuring all learner activity - not just video views. It includes time spent on:

• Video module watches and replays

• Case studies

• Knowledge checks

• Tests

• Video module hotspots

• Glossary items

This gives managers and organisations a richer, more holistic view of how learners are engaging with content, and how that engagement is evolving over time.

Where can I see Learning Hours?

You can access the Learning Hours metric from:

• Manager dashboard

• Learner dashboard

• Analytics tables

• Reporting exports

Note that Managers can still access the Hours Watched statistics by Team and by Learner in the detailed Company Analytics tables.
